Banana Ketchup

After visiting San Juan on a cruise, and trying this banana ketchup at a local burger joint, I became addicted. When I arrived home, I was extremely excited to see that there was a website where I could purchase this little piece of heaven. I am so happy to have a little bit of San Juan flavor in our home, and to be able to enjoy it with our family.

The package arrived nicely and the bottle was in one piece. I look forward to purchasing more.

My husband and I were recently visiting San Juan while on a cruise. We ate lunch at a local hamburger place who had a shelf of spicy Caribbean condiments. I tried the banana ketchup and instantly became addicted. My husband was sitting across from me and had asked what I was eating. I had him try it on his fries and he got up and got 3 cups for himself. On our way home from the cruise, I had searched this product and was happy to see that I was able to purchase it. My kids are excited to try this, and I can't wait to introduce it to my sister and brother-in-law.

I don't know what I was expecting. This tastes like ketchup, except with a hint of banana. I'd only use it for dipping something like fries. It's too heavy and ketchup-y to put on fish. Kids might like it for their nuggets.

Sadly, my bottle arrived broken. It smelled like it would have tasted good.

I was curious about a condiment that was called Banana Ketchup so I tried it. It is absolutely delicious! I've tried it on sandwiches, hamburgers and corn on the cob and it works well with all. Anxious to try it with other foods.
